Canadian Sam Greenwood Wins 2015 WSOP No-Limit Hold’em Event

In the $1,000 No-Limit Hold’em tournament at the 2015 World Series of Poker, Toronto native Sam Greenwood took home the top prize of $318,977. The event drew 1,915 players creating a prize pool of $1,723,500. Greenwood also earned his first WSOP Bracelet in the process.
“Things really worked out for me tonight,” Greenwood admitted. “I won most of my pre-flop all-in raises, my made hands got paid off, that’s what it takes to win one of these. When I’m playing, I’m in the zone. I’m not thinking about the bracelet.”
Greenwood has now earned over $1.4 million in career tournament earnings. He plays on both the World Poker Tour and European Poker Tour. Here’s a look at the final table standings:
